台灣的貝殼收藏也很有機會收到全球的貝類，這是因為台灣遠洋漁業十分發達，故貝友們可以請託漁民從全球各地的水域帶回各地不同的貝殼；但遺憾的是這麼多豐富多樣蒐藏卻都分散保存在不同的貝迷或貝類學者的實驗室中，重門深鎖而不見天日。在坊間的書店中很難找到一本較齊全完整的貝類圖鑑。終身投入貝類研究的專家如藍子樵、賴景陽或巫文隆老師等陸續出版過貝類的專書，大部份針對某一類群的貝類或是保育類來作整理，所介紹的種類較為少數。 |
Shellfish collectors in Taiwan are likely to
gather shellfish from other countries worldwide because deep-sea fishery in
Taiwan develops very well; they can ask fishermen carry different shellfish
from waters in other countries. However, those plentiful and diverse
collections all disperse in different collectors and malacologists' labs and
unable to be presented. It is hard to find a perfect manual for shellfish in
the bookstores. Some great malacologists, such as Mr. Tzu-Chiao Lan, Mr.
Jing-Yang Lai, and Mr. Wun-Long Wu who invest their whole lives in studying
mollusks publish handbooks of shellfish in succession and they almost
marshal certain kinds of shellfish and protected shellfish; they just point
out a few kinds of shellfish. |
